Abstract
The degree of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection is the most important factor affecting gastrointestinal health and is influenced by the subjects' (age, gender, and geographic location). Because it can cling to a simple columnar epithelium with numerous tubular gastric glands and regulate the appearance of its specific virulence factor, H. pylori is a highly adaptable environmental bacteria. It's still unclear of the role cytokines function in stomach precancerous disorders. It leads to the cause in one sense, but it also causes gastric precancerous lesions to occur in another. On the one hand, they can promote the development of disease by stimulating immune responses that the aim to eradicate pathogens. This study aimed to investigate the profile of some cytokines and the characteristics of cytokines parameters by H. pylori infection in chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG). An increase in IL-2 was observed in H. pylori-containing Chronic Gastritis (CG) and H. pylori-containing CAG, which may contribute to increased cytotoxic lymphocyte destruction and the achievement of antitumor effects. A decrease in phagocyte activity and an increase in the absolute number of band neutrophils in peripheral blood are the results of hyperproduction of IL-8 and Chronic Atrophic Gastritis (CAG) with H. pylori, indicating altered host defense mechanisms. Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC) molecules on antigen-presenting cells are expressed more highly, and the amount of IFNγ involved in recognizing malignantly transformed cells is increased. H. pylori with (Chronic Gastritis (CG) and CAG) in patients showed an increase in the cytokine IL-4 production, which may be a factor in the chronicity of H. pylori-associated diseases. This study establishes an experimental foundation for future research on the eradication of H. pylori and the immunological causes of Chronic Gastritis (CG) and CAG.
